Assistant Athletic Director for Development

Xavier University’s Athletics Department and the All For One Fund are seeking an Assistant Athletic Director for Development to help generate philanthropic gifts for Xavier’s 19 varsity programs. The ideal person for the position is a great team player, self-starter and goal oriented. The position requires excellent communication skills and impeccable attention to detail.  The ability to multitask and manage complex schedules.  

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Manage a portfolio of lead annual and major gift donors and prospects. Develop plans and programs to maximize gift revenue for the All For One Fund, capital and endowment gifts. Along with solicitations for NIL support. Includes managing a national and state portfolio of approximately 100-125 prospects and donor.

  • Work closely with the Associate Athletic Director of Athletic Development to formulate long term strategic plan for athletic development. This includes planning for capital projects, execute annual fund and strategize how best to optimize donor cultivation and stewardship.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  •         Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.

  •         At least 2 years in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities.

  •         Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.

  •         Excellent writing, communication and analytical skills.

  •         Work nights and weekends based on event schedules.
