Coordinator of Marketing & Fan Engagement

Under the direction of the Assistant Athletic Director (AD) for External Affairs, the Coordinator of Marketing & Fan Engagement develops and implements a comprehensive marketing strategy and associated campaigns for Winthrop University’s NCAA Division I athletics program.

Job Summary:

  • Develops a comprehensive marketing strategy and implements associated campaigns to promote attendance at athletic events and enhance the fan experience.

  • Directs and produces the in-game fan experience for home athletic events. 

  • Assists with sponsorship fulfillments by executing in-game promotions and developing promotional materials and creative content.

  • Hires, trains and manages student employees and volunteers for game day operations, community appearances, on-campus promotions and site visits.

  • Assists with ticket sales by coordinating special groups/functions for community stakeholders and corporations, including national anthem groups and halftime groups.

  • Helps the division ensure consistency in its branding and messaging through management of the athletics licensing program and sale and execution of sponsorships.

  • Works to grow licensing, ticket and sponsorship revenue by increasing the number of licensed/community partners.

  • Creates digital and social media content for promotions and fan engagement.
