Athletics Business Operations Manager

  • Assists in developing the master budget.

  • Reviews and authorizes athletic expenditures and reimbursements.

  • Maintains records and produces reports for the NCAA Audit and the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) report.

  • Signs off on Bank of America credit card transactions.

  • Helps coaches and athletic administrators understand and manage individual budgets.

  • Reconciles Winthrop Foundation Athletics account revenues and expenses and updates coaches and staff on balances.

  • Works with the ticket manager to maintain necessary records related to ticket sales for all events, including proper reporting of deposits and sales.

  • Implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with university and state guidelines and makes suggestions for process improvements.

  • Attends division and university meetings related to finance and budgets.

  • Provides information to university Finance & Business Affairs staff in a timely manner.

  • Interprets finance-related policies for coaches and athletic administrators to ensure compliance with university and state fiscal policies and procedures.
