This position plays a critical role in strengthening the financial and operational foundation of the Athletics Division. By aligning strategy, partnerships, and execution, you will ensure we are positioned for sustained growth and long-term success.

Job Summary

Leads and manages the development and revenue generation departments for athletics. Leads the vision and goals and oversees implementation strategies.

Essential Functions

• Gather data, organize information, make forecasts, projections, and recommendations, and create models, presentations, and reports to support and explain financial strategies.
• Direct the development and execution of multi-faceted efforts to achieve revenue goals
associated with season ticket packages, mini-plans, and single-game sales. Oversee the
development of an elite first-class service framework in all aspects of ticket office operations.
• Lead, in collaboration with the Director and Deputy Director of Athletics, friend/fundraising initiatives associated with seat donations, annual fund, restricted and unrestricted giving,
scholarships, capital gifts associated with the facility master plan and special projects.
Communicate with fanbase and donors through outbound calls, emails, and face-to-face
meetings.
• Oversee advertising and promotional campaigns.
• Manage and support contracts and technology as it related to revenue generation efforts.
• May serve and support one (1) or more sports programs in a day-to-day administrative role, as assigned.

Job Duties

  • Lead and support external revenue generation efforts across athletics units

  • Identify opportunities to grow and diversify revenue streams through strategic planning and execution

  • Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategies to ensure optimal outcomes

  • Serve as a primary liaison with external partners, vendors, and service providers supporting athletics operations

  • Strengthen relationships to enhance service delivery, efficiency, and revenue potential

  • Participate in strategic discussions to align external resources with departmental goals

  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., ticketing, development, marketing, operations) to drive coordinated revenue efforts

  • Ensure alignment across functions to maximize capacity and eliminate operational silos

  • Support a unified approach to executing the Athletics Department’s strategic priorities

  • Evaluate existing systems, workflows, and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness

  • Partner with internal and external entities to implement performance-driven operational strategies

  • Ensure consistent execution aligned with the Shocker Athletics model

  • Analyze complex operational and financial data to inform strategic decisions

  • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance revenue performance and operational outcomes

  • Ensure reporting structures support transparency and accountability

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field

  • Eight (8) years of experience in athletic business management or related field, with three (3) years of experience in leadership role

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Deep understanding of revenue generation practices

  • Ability to produce & analyze financial reports

  • Skills in collaboration with various constituents

  • Ability to work with fluctuating schedule including nights and weekends.

  • Knowledge of revenue/ticketing systems & technology

  • Ability to stay in one position for long periods of time.

  • Knowledge of how to optimize time management for competing priorities.

  • Ability to handle difficult conversations and situations when necessary.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Highly organized and reliable with great follow up and follow through

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Paciolan software knowledge or direct experience in.

  • Knowledge of other ticketing systems if no direct experience in Paciolan.
