Washington State is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Coach for the Women’s Tennis Program. Responsibilities include recruiting, coaching, developing and evaluating academically and athletically qualified student-athletes in compliance with NCAA, Pac-12, WCC and Washington State policies and procedures.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coaching
1. Perform all training, and other coaching duties, as assigned by head coach.
2. Assist the head coach in planning, writing and implementing practices throughout the season
3. Prepare a yearly training plan with a periodized structure suitable to
prepare athletes for Division I training and competition.
4. Identify/select talented athletes with the goal to prepare them for
participation on a NCAA Division I collegiate team.
Recruiting
1. Attend international, national junior tennis competitions throughout the season and the summer.
2. Knowledge of compliance with University, Conference and NCAA rules and regulations
5. Recruit prospective student-athletes.
6. Assist in maintaining social media presence on behalf of Washington State Women’s Tennis.
Travel
• Ability to travel domestically/internationally for the purpose of recruiting prospective student-athletes
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Coaching experience
• US Drivers License and ability to drive student-athletes
• Ability to hit at a Division 1 women’s tennis level.
