ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Women's Basketball
• Formulate a successful philosophy to promote educational welfare, sportsmanship, and spiritual
development of the student-athlete
• Management and supervision of all in-season and out-of-season activates of the women's
basketball team. This includes planning practice, weight training, open gyms, and all other
basketball related activities
• Be knowledgeable about all NAIA rules and regulations, Cascade Collegiate Conference
obligations, and rules of the game (including changes to the rules), and oversee all required duties
based on those rules are fulfilled
• Oversight of all team travel plans
• Recruiting and vetting of all players that are to join the team
• Work with the athletics department on fundraising opportunities
• Creating a spiritual development and leadership development plan for student-athletes
• Organizing community outreach program for women's basketball team to participate in
• Manage the year-round budget for the basketball program.
• Track all players academic success, NAIA eligibility, and progress towards a degree.
• Review student-athletes’ academic progress reports and end-of-term grades to determine
motivational needs, foster academic success, and maintain athletic qualification.
2. Athletic Fundraising Coordinator
• Work with the Director of Athletics and coordinate athletic sponsors and donors for the
department and individual teams.
23. • Meet monthly with the Vice President of Advancement and Alumni Engagement (or their
designee) to review needs and strategy regarding fundraising efforts.
• Manage a portfolio of prospective donors and facilitate aspects of the gift cycle in collaboration
with the Advancement Office.
• Coordinate solicitation, program sponsorships, and gifts in kind according to WWU established
policies and procedures.
• Adhere to fund-raising processes and utilize relationship management tools as directed, including
utilizing database systems for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of logistics for fundraising events, seeking
sponsorships and participants, etc. for events such as:
o Eugene Winters Golf Classic
o Howlin’ Wolves Series
o Wolves Fun Run
Performs other duties as assigned formally or informally, orally or in writing.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
“Non-essential” If a duty takes up less than 5% of the employees’ time and is not viewed as a critical function
it is likely considered “non-essential” within the context of the ADA. These duties could be reassigned to

QUALIFICATIONS
• Education: Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred.

• Years of experience: 3-5 years, 5-10 years preferred.

ADDITIONAL JOB-SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access. Preferred: Database
Management Software.
WORK CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT
Job Conditions:
• Frequent: Travel, Working more than 40 hours/week, Weekend Work, Computer use, Fasted-paced
work, and Speaking, reading, and understanding English.
• Occasional: On-call/after-hours work and Driving/operating machinery or vehicles.
Lifting/Moving:
• Frequent: Pushing, Pulling, Lifting and Carrying 50-100 pounds.
Physical:
• Frequent: Stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling, Walking and/or running, Moving from
one location to another, Standing, Sitting, Climbing or balancing, Reaching, handling, fingering,
and/or feeling i.e. computer use, Talking and/or hearing, Using feet/legs to control equipment,
Seeing/vision.
Environment:
• Frequent: Indoor, Outdoor and Fumes/Dust/Odors.
• Occasional: Wet/Dry Conditions, Cold/Heat and Noise/Vibrations.
Equipment: Computer, copy machines, whistle, UTV, Tables, chairs, game scoring equipment and phone.
