Director of Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track and Field – Virginia Wesleyan University
Virginia Wesleyan University, a NCAA Division III institution and a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, is accepting applications for a Director of Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track and Field. Virginia Wesleyan is located in Virginia Beach, VA and sponsors 23 varsity sports teams, supporting over 400 student-athletes.
The director will oversee all aspects of the men’s and women’s cross country and track and field programs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; recruitment of quality student-athletes, scheduling, managing and coaching meets, planning and conducting practices, organizing team travel, monitoring student-athletes’ academic progress, equipment maintenance and purchases, budget management, fundraising and administrative duties required to maintain competitive cross country and track and field programs.
Review of applications will begin immediately. This is a 12-month, full-time position with benefits. Qualifications include; minimum of a bachelor’s degree with master’s degree preferred. Collegiate coaching experience and meet management experience preferred. USTFCCCA Technical Certification and/or USATF Level 1 preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the university’s auto insurance carrier.
