Under the direction of the Deputy Athletics Director for External Engagement & Revenue Generation, the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Capital Projects, Facilities & Events will support and enhance the mission of the Vanderbilt Athletics Department. This position will serve as the supervisor of the following areas: capital projects, facilities, event management, championships, and venue management.

Vanderbilt is a charter member of the Southeastern Conference and is the conference's only private school. The university fields 17 varsity teams, 15 of which compete in the Southeastern Conference.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide oversight and leadership for assigned areas of responsibility, which include capital projects, facilities, event management/operations, championships, and venue management.
Work closely with department leadership to plan and execute facility development, including space planning, facility master planning, renovations and capital projects.
Lead in the development execution of policies and procedures relative to Vanderbilt Athletics facilities with an emphasis on operational efficiency and quality.
Lead and manage the facilities, events and operations staff that includes full-time exempt staff, full-time non-exempt staff, part-time hourly staff, and student workers.
Conduct all business in accordance with department, University, conference, and NCAA regulations.
Demonstrate an active and engaged commitment to efficient stewardship of University resources (operational, financial, and human), in a manner consistent with University objectives.
Other duties as assigned by the Deputy Athletics Director for External Engagement & Revenue Generation and/or Athletics Senior Staff.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is necessary; Master’s degree is preferred.
10+ years relevant experience is necessary.
5+ years management experience in NCAA Division I intercollegiate Athletics or equivalent is necessary.
Extensive supervisory experience is necessary.
