Job Description

This position reports directly to the Head Women’s Soccer Coach and is responsible for providing coaching and administrative assistance with the goal of ensuring the program has the necessary culture, talent, and structure/systems in place to achieve success.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promotes the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, to include adhering to all departmental policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Southeastern Conference, and the NCAA

  • Assists in coaching student-athletes, which includes evaluating their performance in both practice and competition, and providing leadership and instruction in areas as needed

    • Assist in the development and ongoing implementation of a training system that reliably instructs and develops on-field performance

  • Create and manage an ongoing recruiting process that delivers high-level results for the program

    • Coordinates the scouting and recruitment of student-athletes, including on-campus visits of prospective student-athletes

  • Monitors the conditioning and training of student-athletes, in conjunction with the Strength & Conditioning and Athletic Training staff

  • Participates in the collection and analysis of tactical and statistical data of opponents and assists in designing game plans and strategies

  • Attend coaches’ preparatory meetings and implements strategies resulting from these meetings

  • Counsels team members in various matters, to include consulting with multiple departments internally and on campus to help resolve issues

  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree is necessary.

  • Prior coaching experience at the collegiate level is necessary.

  • Demonstrated track record of successful recruiting is necessary.

  • Organized, detail oriented and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision is necessary.

  • Great interpersonal skills is necessary.

  • Ability to work a non-standard work week including nights, weekends & holidays is necessary.
