Director of Player Personnel and Analytics

Under the general direction of the Head Men’s Basketball Coach, act as the Director of Player Personnel and Analytics (Athletic Analyst) for a Division I Men’s Basketball program in accordance with NCAA, Mountain West and Utah State University rules and regulations.

  • Assist in all areas of team performance, including pre-season, post-season training, practice and competition.

  • Manage all video-related activities for Utah State University Men’s Basketball, including the coordination, management, and video analysis of practice, opponents, and game film for study, development, individual instruction and scouting purposes;

  • Assist with all on campus recruiting visits and other recruiting duties;

  • Responsible for assisting players with personal growth off the court.

  • Assist with camps and clinics.

  • Manage all scouting breakdown and dissemination of opponent and Utah State video to staff in a timely manner;

  • Organize non-conference and conference film exchange in accordance with applicable guidelines and capture via internet, when necessary;

  • Log and tag all game video and practices;

  • Operates video equipment to capture events, presentations, performances.

  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment which includes troubleshooting and maintenance along with acquisition of video equipment and software;

  • Building quality relationships and working collaboratively and professionally with; Athletics, and University staff, students.

  • Contributes to other communications, events, and related projects as needed;

  • Ensure confidentiality of information.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree required.

    • Experience that demonstrates an excellent knowledge of the techniques and strategies of the sport of Men's Basketball.

    • Candidate should have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

    • Candidate must possess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
