This position description and role will focus solely on increasing membership, engagement, and further developing the AHAA. The Director of the AHAA will oversee all functions of current and future programming including webinars, symposiums, podcasts and other innovative concepts. The AHAA currently has 1200+ members and focuses primarily in the collegiate space. Through re-structuring and re-branding, USCAH wishes to stratify the membership and expand in all areas of athletics healthcare including but not limited to the National Governing Bodies (NGB’s), NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, High School, Youth Sports, Elite Club sports and more. Of note, the AHAA is currently undergoing re-branding and re-structuring and to encompass the breadth of professionals involved, will be re-named the “National Association of Athletic Healthcare (NAAH)”
Programming will focus on compliance of best practices, standard of care, and reducing risk liability. This organization does not provide clinical care or clinical recommendations.
Marketing/Recruiting of Membership
· Lead team to target, cultivate, and acquire new members, as well as expansion of marketplace and strategic initiatives
· Cultivation of cornerstone and foundational partners to increase sponsorship
Create and Deliver Programming
· Integrate with M2, USCAH’s website host, to further develop and re-imagine the platform/site.
· Collaborate with external marketing consultants and USCAH team to create/deliver strategic marketing framework
· Create, deliver, and present NAAH programming and communicate client/partner needs to product/content development teams
· Lead and present at conferences, educational symposia, and other client/partner engagement activities
· Represent USCAH and the NAAH within the virtual and in-person presentations, conferences and other client/partner engagement activities
· Collaborate with product/content development and client services team to develop, update, and implement USCAH content, service lines, and customer offerings
· Collaborate with executive team to develop strategy, messaging, and partnership/client relationship features based on current market, client/partner feedback, and emerging trends
· Continually assess USCAH products and content vs. competitor products in order to compare competition and improve USCAH’s offerings in the market
· Other duties as necessary in collaboration with other USCAH staff
