Assistant Strength & Coniditioning Coach

The Assistant Coach will also provide technical and professional supervision of the preparation of student athletes for Division III Intercollegiate athletic competition through the utilization of scientifically based principles of athletic performance training.

·       Coaching & Student-Athlete Development

·       Assist in the development and implementation of sport-specific strength, speed, agility, and conditioning programs for all intercollegiate athletics teams.  

·       Instruct and supervise student-athletes in proper weightlifting, conditioning, speed, and agility techniques to promote athletic performance and reduce risk of injury.  

·       Assist with the implementation of rehabilitation and reconditioning programs as prescribed by the Sports Medicine staff.  

·       Monitor and evaluate student-athlete progress and maintain accurate training and performance records.  

·       Provide daily supervision of training sessions while fostering a positive, disciplined, and competitive training environment.  

·       Demonstrate the ability to work independently with student-athletes by providing individualized instruction, motivation, and supervision during training sessions while reinforcing program goals and proper technique. 

·       Report regularly to the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach regarding student-athlete progress, program implementation, facility operations, and any issues related to assigned teams or responsibilities.  

·       Support the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in achieving departmental performance goals and maintaining consistency across all training programs
