Assistant Coach, Men's Basketball

Description:

The Assistant Coach is responsible for planning, recruiting, coaching, developing, implementing, communicating, and administering the program. This role provides leadership, organization, and supervision, and supports the recruitment and development of student‑athletes. Responsibilities include assisting with team practices and conditioning, coordinating team travel, supporting promotions, and contributing to camps and clinics. The position reports directly to the Men’s Basketball Head Coach.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum five years of basketball coaching, playing or related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

• Demonstrated strong commitment to athletes as students

• Demonstrated experience with:

o Supporting students from diverse and multicultural backgrounds

o Personnel Administration

o Fundraising

o Community Relations

o Media Relations

o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
