The University of Virginia's Department of Athletics is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Football Operations & Player Development Administrator. This role provides essential administrative support to the Football Operations and Cav Code departments, ensuring smooth execution of game day logistics, player development, alumni relations, and compliance.
Game Responsibilities (including Post-Season play):
Assist the Director of Football Operations (DFO) with contract negotiations and planning for air and ground travel/charters.
Manage logistical details for home and away games, including securing lodging and meals, and arranging transportation.
Provide administrative support for team travel, including maintaining databases, processing information, and distributing reports.
Prepare and disseminate correspondence, documents, rooming lists, itineraries, etc.
Handle petty cash funds for meal per diems and reconcile expenses.
Request and distribute game credentials and manage bus tags for away team travel.
Coordinate bus tips and distribute itineraries.
Student Athletes:
Input and update player information in the Teamwork database and generate reports as needed.
Maintain player files and inventory of team awards, ensuring compliance with University, NCAA, and ACC regulations.
Alumni Relations:
Assist with organizing football alumni events, including producing nametags and facilitating tours of the Hardie Football Operations Center.
Support event logistics, including purchasing items and assisting with setup and breakdown.
CAV CODE:
Support Cav Code (Award given to Virginia football players who exemplify the values of Character, Opportunity, Duty, and Engagement) events by managing name tags, bus tip forms, check-in/registration, and event setup and breakdown.
General Administrative Duties:
Manage practice visitor and media passes, and oversee practice check-in.
Tag bags for away game travel and assist with per diem management.
Label envelopes and create per diem signage sheets.
Support expense reporting for Cav Code and Operations and assist with Holiday card mailings.
Compliance:
Promote a culture of compliance by ensuring all actions adhere to ACC and NCAA rules and obtain necessary approvals from Compliance Staff.
Adhere to all University of Virginia, Virginia Football, NCAA, and ACC regulations.

Education: High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Experience: Some working knowledge of the sport program to be supported

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
