Job Summary
Responsible for assisting with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the athletics compliance office.
Core Responsibilities
Responsible for understanding and interpreting NCAA rules and regulations as well as initial and continuing eligibility guidelines in order to help facilitate and promote institutional control.
Assist with the daily operations of the Athletics Compliance Office.
Monitor all aspects of Playing and Practice Seasons.
Assists in roster management.
Assist in monitoring the recruiting process.
Assist in maintenance of all required NCAA and American Conference forms.
Update Athletic Department and compliance policy and procedure manuals as necessary; assist in maintaining Athletics Compliance website.
Provide rules interpretations to coaches and staff.
Produce regular rules education materials including monthly newsletter and tip of the week.
Assist in annual Internal Audit process.
Draft American Conference and NCAA waivers.
Update Athletic Department and compliance policy and procedure manual.
Give presentations to various groups on NCAA rules and regulations.
Attend NCAA meeting/seminars/conferences as needed; actively participate in American Conference calls and meetings.
Takes a proactive approach to assist co-workers in various tasks, to ensure safety.
Performs work tasks in a safe manner and in accordance with work instructions.
Proactively makes recommendations to improve safety.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
One (1) year of experience in collegiate compliance and/or in a collegiate athletic services environment (At department discretion may use internship paid/unpaid and graduate assistantship).
This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in related field or JD.
Two (2) years of experience in collegiate compliance and/or in a collegiate athletic services environment.
Knowledge Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of LSDBi, Cai and Teamworks preferred.

Working Conditions
Office environment.
Occasional after-hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.
Physical Demands:
Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasional.
This position will be primarily located on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility.
