Assistant Athletic Ticket Manager

Job Summary

The Assistant Athletic Ticket Manager provides oversight and supervision in all ticket office operations to include ticket sales, ticket operations, marketing, promotions, fundraising, and administrative duties. This role is responsible for ticket sales and box office management for assigned sports.  

Core Responsibilities

  1. Manages the box office at assigned athletic events.

  2. Schedules student workers and interns.

  3. Maintains and manages all ticket accounts. Maintain and manage all aspects of our Ticketmaster software including Archtics, tmEntry, tmEngagement, and Account Manager.

  4. Assists with the fulfillment and distribution of season and group tickets.

  5. Prepares daily deposits, records deposit information for business office and aids in reconciling with Development software.

  6. Manages the comp ticket request process through Teamworks for student-athletes, coaches, and staff.

  7. Recruits, employs and provides administrative and on-site supervision to ticket sellers and ticket takers.

  8. Assists in checking ticket orders and in filling ticket orders for customers.

  9. Provides customer service and builds ongoing relationships with new and existing UTSA Athletics customers.

  10. Receives and processes ticket orders and donations. Assists in the preparation of deposits and audit reports.

  11. Assists with the NCAA Championships hosted by UTSA.

  12. Maintains familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations.

  13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in any field of study.

  • One year of experience in athletic ticket operations or sales.

  • Computerized ticket system experience.

  • This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Ticketmaster and Archtics ticket system.

Knowledge Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to exercise independent judgement, discretion, and flexibility.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment.

  • May be required to work additional hours during peak periods.

  • Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events.

  • Occasional after-hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.

Physical Demands:

  • Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.

  • Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force to life, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. 


This position will be primarily located on campus. Travel and parking expenses are

the employee’s responsibility.
