Additional hours will be required to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Travel will be required. This job is not suitable for remote work and is expected to work regular on-site hours.
Purpose
The Associate Director of Development, Annual Fund is charged with maximizing revenues to supporting the growth of the Annual Fund. This position will have a strong focus on annual fundraising initiatives, including oversight of our DeLoss Dodds Leadership Team, priority seating renewals and Longhorn Excellence growth opportunities. The will be accomplished in accordance with all Federal, State, NCAA, Conference and Institutional Regulations.
Responsibilities
Assist the Longhorn Foundation Leadership Team in the growth of the Annual Fund with a focus on increasing philanthropic and seat-related giving.
Oversee the day -to-day of DeLoss Dodds Leadership Team. (DDLT) is the Annual Fund’s highest annual giving society with levels of $25,000-$49,999, $50,000-$99,999 and $100,000+. This position will develop the annual calendar that will provide structure for membership renewals, revenue growth and the prospecting strategy for new membership. With heavy emphasis placed on philanthropic growth at all levels.
Assist the Longhorn Foundation Leadership Team in project management, and a focus on increasing philanthropic giving. Including the communication, development, creation and execution of strategies that grow non-seat related annual revenue with an emphasis on digital ads and Longhorn Excellence branding on E-commerce platforms.
Develop and manage a portfolio of 20-30 major gift prospects. Consistently identify donors that can be solicited for above and beyond gits to move them up the membership benefits chart. Emphasis on portfolio and program building is to be expected in the first 2 years.
Support the Annual Fund with planning and execution of annual retention and sales strategies for all premium seating in all Texas Athletics ticketed sports. Including the fulfillment of benefits associated with the Annual Fund and DDLT and in collaboration with Texas Athletics Ticket Office and Engagement Services.
Provide exemplary customer service to Longhorn Foundation Members, season ticket holders, and other external stakeholders as a front-facing representative of the Longhorn Foundation.
Perform additional duties as assigned. Drive a UT or rental vehicle on and off campus.
Consistently exemplify the core values and quality service standards of Texas Athletics. Always act ethically. Proactively seek guidance when unsure or unclear of a law, rule or policy applicable to you or your department/sport program. Actively participate in assigned education and training programs. Comply with all laws, policies, rules and regulations set forth by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System, The University of Texas at Austin, NCAA, Conference, or other governing body, including state and federal laws. Annually obtain prior written approval and report all outside activities and outside income. Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR. Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree. One year of experience assisting with fundraising or sales programs. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Professional demeanor. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to project the image of the University of Texas and the Athletics Department with dignity and grace regardless of circumstances and environments. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree. Two years of experience assisting with fundraising or sales programs. Affiliation with the University of Texas at Austin and/or as a former student-athlete or alumni.
