Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance

Job Summary:

Directs and maintains a comprehensive NCAA Division I compliance program.  Establishes, implements, monitors, and enforces policies and procedures that will enable the University, athletics department, student-athletes, and representatives of athletics interests to be in compliance with NCAA, conference, and University regulations, as well as state and federal laws. 

 

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Educates all athletic staff members, student-athletes, representatives of athletics interests, and the community regarding NCAA and conference rules and regulations.  Provides interpretations of NCAA rules.

 

  1. Works closely with the Student Academic Enhancement Staff and Registrar to determine initial and continuing eligibility.

 

  1. Monitors all recruiting activities.

 

  1. Assists in the investigation and reporting of NCAA infractions.

 

  1. Tracks information related to amateurism, employment, and extra benefits.

 

  1. Reviews playing schedules and monitors practice schedules. 

 

  1. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in business, management, policy management, sport management, law or other related field and two to four years experience working with NCAA policy and procedure.
