The Director of Football Communications is responsible for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to generate content and awareness, and serves as an external media liaison for football coaches and players. Duties include but are not limited to conceptualizing and executing external media strategies, including Pitt social and digital platforms while collaborating with multiple creative units, and overseeing the production of print and digital publications.

Essential Functions
Conceptualize and execute media strategy for the overall football program, coaches, and players. Fulfillment of external media requests and interview preparation for Pitt representatives. Lead creative collaborations to generate Pitt football brand awareness across various platforms. Orchestrate social media presence on daily and weekly basis while collaborating with creative units. Create and maintain Pitt football content for official website. Primary coordinator for media operations and accommodations at Pitt’s practice facility. Provide media support for all Pitt football home and away games. Oversee production of print and digital football publications such as annual media guide, game programs, flip cards, and others. Create and distribute weekly game notes and statistical packages. Oversee weekly distribution of football statistics utilizing the NCAA’s Genius Sports program. Other duties as assigned.
