Event Manager Athletic Facilities

Responsibilities: Oversees event management and operations in the UNI-Dome, McLeod Center and assigned outdoor athletic facilities; serves as the operations lead for the McLeod Center; supervises visiting crews in the production of sporting and entertainment events; provides oversight of support services, maintenance, custodial services, concessions set up and tear down, and security; supervises the preventive maintenance programs and completes minor maintenance repairs; performs and supervises event set ups, tear downs, and facility conversions; performs daily facility maintenance; oversees outdoor athletic facility management; and oversees maintenance of assigned outdoor practice and competition facilities as assigned with the Physical Plant and City of Cedar Falls. 

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree plus at least one year of event management experience in a multi-purpose and/or outdoor facility required. Excellent communication skills; experience managing event conversions; and forklift experience preferred. Frequent evening and weekend work required. Student experience will be considered. Must abide by the rules of the NCAA, the Missouri Valley Conference, the Missouri Valley Football Conference, the Western Wrestling Conference and the University of Northern Iowa.
