Assistant Equipment Manager

Position Summary:

This position is to assist the Director of Equipment Operations (DEO) in the oversight of the athletic equipment room; includes ordering uniforms and equipment, laundry duties, fitting and tracking uniforms and equipment for 17 sports.

Job Duties:

  • Assist DEO in processing orders for 17 sport programs.

  • Assist with receiving and inventory all uniforms and equipment.

  • Assist DEO with checking out uniforms and equipment to student athletes, checking eligibility.

  • Assist with fitting football equipment, such as helmets, shoulder pads, jerseys, pants, other padding. Oversee laundry operations for all sports.

  • Place orders, including processing payment, for assigned Teams and Departments for equipment.

  • Assist DEO with locker room set up for assigned sports.

  • Assist with football practice and game day needs on practice field/Nottingham Stadium when needed. Assist in maintenance of uniforms and equipment.

  • Assist DEO with student employee management, assigning tasks and scheduling hours for all student employees.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Experience in athletic equipment room setting or equivalent experience required; intercollegiate athletic experience preferred. For football assigned duties: experience working with football is preferred, particularly at the collegiate level. Experience with inventory, receiving, auditing systems preferred.

  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification required but may be obtained after hire. AEMA certification preferred but can seek within 1 year of hire.
