The University of North Alabama is accepting applications for the position of Head Coach, Cross Country. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of a competitive Division I Men's and Women's Cross Country program including, but not limited to, coaching, recruiting, and program administration.
Essential Job Duties
Coach and administer the Men's and Women's Cross Country programs;
Recruit athletically- and academically-qualified Division I student athletes;
Organize, schedule, and conduct practices and competitions;
Encourage a commitment to academic excellence;
Manage a budget and fundraise for the program;
Ensure program compliance with all college, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations;
Perform all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree is required;
Master’s degree is preferred;
Previous collegiate running and/or coaching experience is required;
Strong, working knowledge of the sport’s skills and training methods is required.
