
The University of North Alabama is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Coach for Women’s Soccer. This position is responsible for assisting the head coach with planning and organizing all phases of the women’s soccer program. Responsibilities include coaching and administrative duties as directed by the head coach but are not limited to; assisting in practice planning and field coaching (running drills), position-specific player development and skills training, recruiting, game preparation, scouting, and community involvement. Additionally, this position provides leadership and support for the vision and strategies of the head coach. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Minimum qualifications include: bachelor’s degree is required; experience recruiting student-athletes is preferred and preference will be given to candidates that can demonstrate a proven ability to recruit quality student-athletes; playing/coaching experience at the intercollegiate level in soccer is preferred; collegiate, club, or professional recruiting/coaching experience is preferred with preference given to candidates with three to five years of successful collegiate/club/professional recruiting and/or coaching experience; knowledge of and experience with NCAA compliance is preferred; knowledge of Division I soccer and NCAA rules preferred; and goalkeeper coaching and playing experience is preferred. In addition, a USSF D license is preferred; a United Soccer Coaches National Diploma is preferred; and CPR certification, renewed annually, is required.
