The University of North Alabama is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Coach, Indoor Volleyball. This position is responsible for assisting the head coach with planning and organizing all phases of the women’s volleyball program. Responsibilities include coaching and administrative duties as directed by the head coach but are not limited to; assisting in practice planning and court coaching (running drills), position-specific player development and skills training, recruiting, game preparation, scouting, and community involvement. Additionally, this position provides leadership and support for the vision and strategies of the head coach.
Minimum qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree is required; Preference will be given to candidates who have 3-5 years of successful collegiate, club, or professional recruiting and coaching experience; experience recruiting quality student-athletes is preferred; candidates with playing/coaching experience at the intercollegiate level in volleyball and who can demonstrate a proven ability to recruit quality student-athletes will be given preference; experience with NCAA compliance and knowledge of Division I volleyball and NCAA rules is preferred; a current, valid driver’s license in good standing is required; and a CPR certification, renewed annually, is required.
