Assistant Athletic Trainer; Athletics

The University of North Alabama is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer.  This position is responsible for assisting in the development, administration, and supervision of the athletic training program for the men’s basketball and cross-country athletic programs. The position serves as a second in command, along with the other assistant athletic trainers, of the athletic training room and as supervisor in the absence of the department head. This position also assists in coordinating and executing all primary and secondary insurance claims concerning student athlete injury and treatment.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in health/physical education, kinesiology, or athletic training is required; a master’s degree is preferred; collegiate-level athletic training experience is strongly preferred; National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification certified is required; eligible for licensure or licensed within the State of Alabama is required; and current and ongoing CPR certification is required.
