Assistant Athletic Trainer

The University of North Alabama is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer.  This position has been created due to the addition of new sports, namely Women’s Flag Football and both Women’s/Men’s Indoor/Outdoor Track & Field.  The selected applicant may be assigned to any of the sports in our intercollegiate athletics programs, however.  This position is responsible for assisting in the development, administration, and supervision of the athletic training programs designated by the supervisor. This position also assists in coordinating and executing all primary and secondary insurance claims concerning student athlete injury and treatment. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.  Final title, salary grade, and starting salary will be determined by the selected candidate’s education and experience relative to the posted position and its associated ranges.

Education and experience requirements include: a bachelor’s degree in health, physical education, athletic training or a closely-related field is required; National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification certified is required; and current and ongoing CPR certification is required.
