
The Director of UNH Wildcat Productions serves as a member of the UNH Athletics Marketing and Communications team within the External Relations unit. This position is responsible for leading all aspects of live event production, video board operations, digital broadcasts, and fan engagement programming for UNH Athletics and select university events.
The Director oversees the planning, execution, and enhancement of in-venue entertainment and live broadcasts while supporting the strategic goals of UNH Athletics through innovative storytelling, engaging content, and high-quality production experiences. The position reports to the Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Communications and supervises full-time staff, student employees, and game-day production personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of videoboard, broadcast, and production room operations for UNH Athletics events and select university events, including commencement ceremonies, concerts, conferences, and special events.
Produce and direct live broadcasts for ESPN+, streaming platforms, and other digital and linear distribution partners.
Develop, implement, and enhance in-game entertainment experiences, including videoboard content, special effects, fan engagement initiatives, promotional elements, and sponsored activations.
Collaborate with Athletics Marketing and Communications staff to create and deploy promotional videos, hype videos, public service announcements, highlights, replay packages, and other multimedia content.
Oversee the creation and execution of game presentation run-of-show scripts and broadcast production plans.
Hire, train, schedule, and supervise professional staff, student employees, freelance personnel, and game-day production crews, including camera operators, replay operators, graphics personnel, and broadcast talent.
Manage production budgets and equipment purchases while maintaining operational efficiency and production quality.
Ensure all production systems, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained and operational.
Serve as the primary production contact for external events utilizing videoboard and broadcast resources within UNH Athletics facilities.
Work collaboratively with Wildcat Sports Properties to fulfill sponsorship obligations and integrate partner activations into game presentation and broadcast programming.
Partner with coaches, student-athletes, and athletics staff to develop creative content that promotes UNH Athletics and enhances fan engagement.
Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, university, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned in support of the mission and goals of UNH Athletics.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in television production, sports management, journalism, communications, media production, or a related field.
Three years of professional experience in sports production, live event production, broadcasting, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience producing and directing live broadcasts and event productions.
Experience supervising staff, students, or production crews.
Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a related field.
Experience producing Division I collegiate athletics broadcasts. (Derived from the role's athletics production focus; if preferred, this can be omitted because it is not explicitly listed in the source.)

Compensation Pay Range:
$57,590.00 - $102,850.00
