The University of Nevada Athletics Department is recruiting a Director, Student Athlete Development. The Director of Student-Athlete Development will be responsible for the development and oversight of programming that enhances the student-athlete experience through the promotion of personal growth as well as supporting student-athletes’ successful navigation of their intercollegiate experiences during their college careers though their post-graduation transition process. This person’s overarching goal will be to provide each student-athlete with the skills necessary to achieve success in their personal and professional lives beyond their collegiate athletic experiences. This individual will be responsible for creating, planning, and implementing effective leadership, service, professional/career and personal development workshops, events, and initiatives for all departmental athletic programs. This includes working with both internal and external partners of the University of Nevada to promote the comprehensive development of the student-athlete population.

 

This position will assist with oversight for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and other activities which reflect the University of Nevada and Wolf Pack Athletics’ commitment to service programs and to enhancing the student-athlete experience and overall welfare.

 

Required Qualifications 

Master's Degree and one year of related work experience; OR Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related work experience.

Related Experience: Work experience in higher education to include experience in intercollegiate athletics, student services and experience with academic NCAA and conference rules and regulations.
