Nevada Athletics welcomes applications for an Associate Athletics Director or Senior Associate Athletics Director, Business and Finance.
The Associate Athletics Director, Business and Finance is the chief financial officer and oversees the budgetary, fiscal, and business operations of the Department of ICA and reports directly to the Athletics Director. The position serves as a member of the department’s senior leadership team and maintains collaborative decision-making authority regarding the organization’s financial health. The Associate AD works with the Director in planning, monitoring and managing the department’s long-term and daily financial activities, including ensuring senior management, coaches and unit supervisors are aware of financial status. The position ensures the integration and compliance of the department’s financial and accounting activities with those of the university and works proactively to mitigate audit risks and ensure compliance. The incumbent will be expected to maintain a focus on continual process improvements to ensure operational efficiencies and sound business practices.
In addition to the above duties, the Senior Associate Athletics Director, maintains managerial authority over additional operational units, third party vendor and game contracts, purchasing and inventory, as well as financial aspects of development operations. This position will be critical to navigating the changes in college athletics including student athlete revenue sharing, in-house NIL’s future financial impact and the financial stability of the department. This position functions as ICA’s chief financial and business officer.

Associate Athletics Director, Business and Finance
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business management or related field and five (5) years of related professional work experience; OR
Master’s Degree in business, accounting, administration or related field and three (3) years of related professional work experience.
Related Experience: Progressively responsible experience in the areas of financial accounting and reporting, cash management and budgeting finance and administration or related; two years of supervisory experience.
Senior Associate Athletics Director, Business and Finance
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business management or related field and six (6) years of related professional work experience; OR
Master’s Degree in business, accounting, administration or related field and four (4) years of related professional work experience.
Related Experience: Progressively responsible experience in the areas of financial accounting and reporting, cash management and budgeting finance and administration; two years of supervisory experience.
