Assistant Director, Development Data and Processes (R0143621)

The University of Nevada, Athletics Department is recruiting for an Assistant Director, Development Data and Processes position. The main function of the position is to solicit and sustain annual gifts beginning at $500 and major gifts (defined as $10,000 and above) payable over five years in support of University of Nevada, Reno Intercollegiate Athletics including, but not limited to, scholarship(s), programs, projects (capital annual and others), endowments, planned gifts, and expendable funds.  This position supports events, stewardship and donor relations, and ensures data and processes are successful for the operation. The Assistant Director, Development Data and Processes reports to the Sr. Associate Athletics Director, Development and Engagement for Nevada Athletics.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Design and develop to automate business processes such as gift processing, financial management, donor management and associated documentation

  • Review and assist with departmental workflow and make recommendations for efficiency

  • Design and develop custom data sources and reports using Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Paciolan, Advantage, Sales Force, Tableau, etc.

  • Solicit and sustain ICA annual gifts

  • Engage in annual fund efforts for the entity, such as a scholarship campaign.

  • Work with the University of Nevada Alumni Association Membership (UNAM) to build alumni interest and support for the college/ school/unit/program and the University as a whole.

  • Coordinate donor outreach programs, such as direct mail efforts, thank-a-thons, pre-game receptions and caravans

  • Assist with game-day donor activities and functions.

  • Provide stewardship to past donors as a stage in the action tracking process; including but not limited to, thank-you letters from scholarship recipients to donors, special receptions, luncheons, and dinners or events in recognition of support.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of related work experience; OR a

Master’s Degree and one (1) year of related work experience

Related Experience: Fundraising, data management, or similar experience

Schedule or Travel Requirements:

  • Frequent local travel

  • Occasional out of state travel

  • Variable work schedule to include nights and weekends
