
JOB SUMMARY
This position within the Athletics Business Office provides financial operations support to the Department of Athletics. The role reports to the Director of Business Operations and serves as a key resource in ensuring compliance, efficiency, and accuracy across business functions.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Onboard new staff and provide ongoing education to current staff regarding Business Office budgets, policies, and procedures. Ensure compliance with NCAA, Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), University, and departmental policies and procedures. Assist in maintaining and updating the Athletics Business Office policies and procedures manual; recommend enhancements to improve processes and internal controls. Serve as the primary departmental contact for reviewing and approving Workday financial transactions, including:
Requisitions
Expense reports
Supplier invoices
Corporate card transactions
Ensure all transactions adhere to University financial policies, internal controls, and approval workflows. Assist in the planning, booking, and reconciliation of team travel, including:
Team charters
Private aircraft arrangements
Per Diem
Other student-athlete travel logistics
Support the annual external audit process by compiling required documentation and responding to audit requests. Research, analyze, and provide financial data to support decision-making by the Director of Business Operations. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Business Operations.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
Must have strong work ethic, organizational and time management skills
Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Two (2) to four (4) years of experience within an intercollegiate athletics environment.
Prior experience with travel planning and logistics coordination.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Working knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and procedures
