Associate Director of Development - Major Gifts

This position will identify, qualify, solicit, and steward major gift prospects/donors for UGA Athletics capital campaigns and initiatives; Will actively identify and solicit new donors. Helps to grow philanthropic annual fund support. Ensures compliance with NCAA, SEC, and institutional rules and regulations pertaining to Development.

Involves excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Organized, detail-oriented and a self-starter. Knowledge of how to make a gift (current and deferred). Able to input data into a prospect tracking system. Willing to travel and available for weekend/evening work. Knowledge of and compliance with NCAA, SEC and institutional rules and regulations.

• 60% Manage a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects, as defined by working with the UGA Foundation, from initial identification, cultivation, proposal development, solicitation and through stewardship.

• 30% Develop and identify new prospects.

• 5% Stewardship of selected top donors to UGA Athletics.

• 5% Other duties as assigned.
