The University of Colorado Athletics department encourages applications for a Senior Associate Athletic Director, Compliance! This position reports directly to the Athletics Director and is a member of the executive team.
The Senior Associate Athletic Director, Compliance will have responsibility for supervising all areas of the University of Colorado's comprehensive NCAA compliance program, including: rules education, monitoring, financial aid, interpretations of NCAA Bylaws and investigating and reporting of potential NCAA and Big 12 rules violations. Has oversight of NCAA reporting, internal and external compliance audits and additional conference requirements. Also serves as a liaison to specific campus committees tied to athletics compliance.
This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program. This shall include adhering to the principles of the Athletics Department's Mission Statement, Core Values, Policies and Procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Big 12 Conference and the NCAA.

Comprehensive Oversight of the Office of Compliance Services
Maintain a comprehensive NCAA compliance program for student-athletes, athletics staff, University boosters, and campus partners. Collaborate with the Office of Financial Aid, Registrar's Office and the Faculty Athletic Representative to ensure alignment with NCAA and Big 12 Conference regulations. Provide daily oversight and direction for the Office of Compliance Services staff.
Lead the execution of a robust rules education program for varying audiences, including but not limited to, student-athletes, prospective student-athletes, coaches, athletics administrators, university personnel, donors and alumni.
Serve as the department's legislative expert, staying current on NCAA, Big 12 and University of Colorado rules and regulations. Facilitate the university's position on proposed NCAA legislation in partnership with the Chancellor, Athletics Director and Faculty Athletic Representative. Attend and present at regional and national seminars.
Lead investigations and reporting of NCAA violations, and prepare waiver and petition requests. Serve as a key liaison for the Campus Athletic Appeals and Compliance Committees. Collaborate with academic leadership on matters of academic integrity.
Direct Sport Program Compliance Support
Collaborate with 17 sport programs to ensure adherence to NCAA rules and regulations. Oversee compliance monitoring systems related to recruiting activities, including social media, contacts, evaluations and campus visits. Provide hands-on support by traveling with high-profile teams.
Interpretations
Provide accurate interpretations of NCAA, Conference and institutional rules and regulations, using research and national collaboration. Oversee and guide the compliance staff's interpretations, maintaining a comprehensive interpretation database to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Executive Staff Member
Serve as a member of the Athletic Director's Executive staff. Offer strategic compliance insight in high-level decision making.
Starting salary range is $120,000 - $140,000.

Bachelor's Degree.
4 years of experience in compliance at a Division I institution, at a Division I intercollegiate athletics conference office or at the NCAA headquarters, including management experience.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
