Job Summary
The Department of Athletics at the University of Colorado (CU) encourages applications for an Assistant Director of Compliance! The Assistant Director will assist the Associate AD for Compliance with the day-to-day operations of the comprehensive NCAA, Big 12 Conference and University Athletics compliance program, focusing on rules education and monitoring.


This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the
intercollegiate athletics program. This shall include adhering to the principles of the
Athletic Department’s Mission Statement, Diversity and Inclusion Mission Statement,
Core Values, Policies and Procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the
University, the Big 12 Conference and the NCAA.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Rules Education:
Maintain and continually develop the comprehensive NCAA rules education
program for CU Boulder student-athletes, departmental staff members, CU donors,
and campus constituents, at the direction of the Associate AD for Compliance.
Distribute educational information via newsletters, social media, presentations, and
other creative outlets. Coordinate game day educational efforts, implement a
distribution plan for CU's facilities targeting those fans and donors in attendance.
Build the Office of Compliance Services relationships with donors and expand the
educational outreach for that group. Apply NCAA legislative knowledge to build
new educational materials and presentations.
Manage the Office of Compliance Services website, social media accounts and
social media outreach.
Assist with beginning of the year and end of the year compliance meetings and
other roster meetings.


Monitoring:
Manage the day to day operation of Bylaw 17 monitoring including, but not limited
to, playing and practice season declarations and the review of CARA logs and time
management plans. Manage Teamworks and serve as the point of contact for
coaches and staff.
Serve as the primary recruiting compliance liaison for certain sports with a focus on unofficial and official visit monitoring. Manage complimentary admissions for
certain sports and contribute to the Office of Compliance Services football home
game day operations. Assist with recruiting camp and clinic review processes.
Assist with student-athlete onboarding and clearance. Review student-athlete
forms and awards.

Sports Wagering:
Create and maintain sports wagering monitoring systems and educational systems
for student-athletes, coaches, staff, and external constituents. Assist the Senior
Associate AD with legislative collaboration, safeguard implementation and integrity
planning.


Other Responsibilities:
Other duties and special projects as assigned by the Associate AD for
Compliance.


What We Can Offer
The salary range is $57,000 - $60,000 annually.
Additional Compensation Details:
Relocation is available within department guidelines.

What We Require
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience will
substitute on a year for year basis.
Minimum one year NCAA Division I compliance experience.

What You Will Need
Must be self-motivated.
Excellent organizational skills, strong technology skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Candidate must demonstrate a dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

What We Would Like You to Have
Detailed knowledge of the NCAA manual and LSDBi database system.
Work toward a Master's or Juris Doctor Degree.
Two years of experience with NCAA Division I FBS Compliance.
