Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach

Responsibilities

  • Comply with institutional and NCAA rules and regulations.

  • Extensive domestic travel required. Secondary departmental responsibilities will be assigned by the Director of Athletics and Recreation.

  • Serve on departmental committees. Represent the University of Chicago in professional, alumni, and civic functions.

  • Direct the work of student workers and volunteer assistant coaches.

  • Has a moderate/high level of authority to participate in staff meetings, individual planning meetings, and parent-student staffings.

  • Helps staff to plan and execute events.

  • Performs other related work as needed.

Education:

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Education:

  • Master's degree.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of significant and relevant playing or teaching/coaching experience in Lacrosse at the professional, collegiate, or high school level.

Licenses or Certifications:

  • Valid driver's license.

Technical Skills or Knowledge:

  • Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Office Suite and other software.

Preferred Competencies

  • Familiarity with NCAA rules and Division III philosophy.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments concurrently.

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends.

  • Must be able to drive to recruiting events.
