Women's Swimming & Diving Graduate Assistant

OVERVIEW

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (Little Rock Athletics) seeks a Women’s Swimming & Diving Graduate Assistant who will serve under the direction of the Head Coach. This position will assist in a number of capacities including practice planning and execution, coordinating operations and travel for the program, recruiting, community service opportunities, and other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Assisting the head coach with planning and implementation of daily practices

·         Coordination of operations, planning travel, per diem, meals and itineraries

·         Contribute to weekly staff meetings

·         Recruiting - In collaboration with the head coach

·         Coaching - In collaboration with the head coach

·         Coordinating community service opportunities

·         Assist with the management of equipment and travel

·         Assist with NCAA compliance reporting and academic monitoring

·         Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

·         Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education

·         Regular admission to a UA Little Rock graduate program or good standing with the UA Little Rock Graduate School for continuing graduate students

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

·         Ability to work effectively with student-athletes

·         Previous swimming experience

·         Effective communication skills
