Summary of Job Duties

 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (Little Rock Athletics) seeks a Women’s Basketball Graduate Assistant who will serve under the direction of the Head Coach. This position will assist in a number of capacities including practice, player development, on campus recruitment, community service and other duties as assigned.   

 

Required Education and Experience

·       Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education

·       Regular admission to a UA Little Rock graduate degree program

·       Ability to work required hours (FT – 50% - 20 hours per week) with regular attendance

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

 

·       Assists student-athletes during practices and competitions with technical aspects of game preparation and strategy for player development.

·       Have the ability to coach players in both groups and individually based on positions

·       Scout assigned opponents as assigned by the coaching staff

·       Assists the basketball staff with recruiting efforts

·       Assists coaching staff with film evaluation

·       Compliance with all NCAA, conference and institutional rules

·       Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·       Knowledge of NCAA, conference and University rules;

·       Ability to interact in a professional manner with people and present a positive image of the University;

·       Ability to physically work out students in practice and warm them up for games

·       Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel;

·       Must have a good driving record, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance;

·       Ability to work nights and weekends with extensive travel.
