The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (Little Rock Athletics) is seeking an Assistant Athletics Director for Facilities & Event Management. Reporting to the Associate AD for Facilities & Operations, the Assistant AD for Facilities & Event Management will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing all phases of a Division I Facilities & Events Management program including, but not limited to event management, facility maintenance, food and beverage operations, department camps and all sanctioned non-athletic events (outside rentals).
Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Education and/or Experience
Master's degree preferred;
Experience in Facilities Operations, Event Management, or related field, in an intercollegiate or professional athletics setting preferred.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Direct all areas related to athletics events and athletics facilities operations, with responsibility and oversight for the following areas: event management (including coordination with needed support services, such as parking, facility maintenance, and campus police), and accomplishment of specific event and facility rental revenue goals and annual maintenance;
Responsible for developing, evaluating, and managing policies and procedures for the operation of athletic facilities and event management;
Supervise and assist in the hiring process of Full-Time Staff Members, Graduate Assistants, Student Interns, and Game Day Event Staff
Lead staff training and convey expectations with game day and event staff
Organize and supervise a variety of workgroups to produce safe and satisfying event experiences;
Manage equipment needs of visiting teams and game officials when necessary;
Manage the department’s internal and external event calendar and contract all facility rentals for all Little Rock Athletics Facilities;
Manage, maintain and review the budgetary responsibilities for event operations, facilities and maintenance; including the use of a purchase card;
Assists in maintaining and reviewing the budgetary responsibilities for event operations, facilities, and maintenance;
Assist in developing and implementing emergency action plans for all athletic events and practices;
Collaborate and plan capital and maintenance projects related to all Little Rock Athletics Facilities;
Develop short and long-range strategic planning to enhance athletics facilities;
Other duties as assigned by the Associate Athletics Director for Facilities and Operations.

Ability to travel occasionally and work on weekends, nights and holidays when necessary;
Ability to analyze, interpret, communicate, and adhere to Trojan Athletics, UA Little Rock, Ohio Valley Conference and NCAA policies and procedures, rules and regulations.
