Financial Analyst (Multiple Positions)

The Athletics Department is dedicated to excellence in collegiate sports, building a modern model of intercollegiate athletics fostering a culture of integrity, innovation, and student-athlete success.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conducts basic research and data analysis by compiling, interpreting, and evaluating data from various sources.

  • Assist in the preparation of regular financial data to departmental units. Generating reports on company expenses and profits.

  • Assists in the preparation of financial forecasts and assists in analyzing historical data, identifying trends, and making projections to support budgeting decisions.

  • Assists in financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts. Accurately recording and storing financial information.

  • Assists with completing all necessary financial reporting for the Athletics Department. Such as the Federal EADA Report, NCAA/AUP Report, NCAA Bowl Report, UBIT, etc.

  • This individual will serve as one of the point of contacts during the external audit.

  • Assist in the coordination of programs and projects, guidance flows from leadership or departmental unit leaders.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

    • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with Athletic Department staff, administrators, and external partners.

    • Ability to exercise sound judgement to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with meticulous attention to detail and strict adherence to deadlines.

    • Ability to lead and facilitate group meetings.

    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management.

    • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,), Adobe Suite programs and other relevant software required.

    • Basic knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

      Minimum Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.

      • One year of relevant work experience required. 

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Experience working in a college or university athletic department.

      • Experience in developing, managing and adhering to budgets.
