Director, Football Creative Media

The Athletics Department is dedicated to excellence in collegiate sports, building a modern model of intercollegiate athletics fostering a culture of integrity, innovation, and student-athlete success.

Leads the development and execution of innovative visual and digital content to elevate the brand and recruiting presence of the football program across all platforms. Manages a team of creatives while collaborating with coaches, student-athletes, and external units to produce high-impact storytelling and real-time coverage.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee all creative content (photo, video, graphics) supporting football branding, recruiting, and fan engagement strategies.

  • Collaborate with Creative Services Team to ensure an annual branding strategy is implemented and executed for the Football Program.

  • Lead a team of content creators (videographers, designers, photographers) to ensure high-quality, consistent output aligned with the program’s vision.

  • Collaborate with coaching staff and recruiting personnel to produce compelling recruiting materials, personalized graphics, and behind-the-scenes features.

  • Manage and execute real-time content creation on game days, practices, and key events to maximize social media impact and engagement.

  • Maintain brand consistency across all digital platforms while pushing creative boundaries to enhance the program’s national profile.

  • Plan and implement content calendars tied to key football milestones (signing day, spring ball, media day, etc.) and strategic initiatives.

  • Stay up to date on creative trends and digital innovations in college and professional sports to keep the program ahead of the curve.

  • Coordinate with internal departments (Communications, Marketing, Compliance) to ensure messaging aligns with institutional goals and guidelines.

  • Train and mentor student interns or graduate assistants to support the content team and foster creative development.

  • Manage daily review of, and creation of content related to PSA specific content (i.e., Personalized Edits, Happy Birthday messages, etc.).

  • Manage the content for and creation of Recruiting Presentations for Coaching Staff use during the Spring Recruiting period.

  • Manage the creation of video content and strategy for all Program Platforms.

  • Manage game day recruiting activities related to all Program Platforms.

  • Organize and provide monthly analytics related to Digital Media content impact.

  • Budget Accountability.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of and experience with design programs and layout (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Knowledge of NCAA, and Big 12 Conference rules and compliance involved with type of work.

  • Expertise in problem solving and making decisions.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.

  • Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to plan, establish priorities and successfully manage multiple priority projects.

  • Dedication and motivation to initiate, lead and support value-added projects.

  • Meticulous attention to detail.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and has a positive demeanor.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two years of creative media experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of creative media experience in college athletics.

  • Three years of creative media experience.

  • Creative Media experience at the Power-4 level.
