The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) Athletic Department is seeking applicants to join our team as a full-time Fiscal Coordinator. This position is the purchasing guru and revenue savant for all athletic teams and programs, working closely with coaches and staff.

As the department's sole Fiscal Coordinator, you will be an essential member of our administration and will assist the Fiscal Manager with the procurement of goods and services, cash handling and invoicing, recording keeping, and administrative support. You will process hundreds of purchase orders and credit card transactions annually, in addition to depositing or invoicing over $1m in revenue. This position's office is located in the Alaska Airlines Center on the UAA main campus.
To thrive in this position, you must be a highly motivated and organized individual who enjoys working in a fun and fast-paced intercollegiate athletic office environment. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and communication skills, the ability to handle multiple priorities, and a drive to improve or create efficiencies in order to best support the needs and goals of the department. General purchasing and/or cash handling knowledge, the ability and willingness to learn, and experience working with standard office programs such as Excel, Word, email, and databases are required.
Minimum Qualifications:
College coursework in Accounting or related field and one year entry-level accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.

This position is located on the UAA campus in Anchorage. This is a full-time, 12 month, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php.
