Assistant Coach - Lacrosse

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for an Assistant Coach I to provide direct and independent coaching for student-athletes who compete in Division I, NCAA Women's Lacrosse for the University of Florida. The Assistant Coach I is responsible for promoting academic excellence as well as the assessment of recruitment or prospective student-athletes, which includes creating individualized development plans for each student-athlete and contributing to overall game and match plans. Other responsibilities include media relations, inventory and purchasing, facilitating team meetings, budget line-item management, and other administrative duties as assigned. Note: This position does not receive an employment contract. Employment is at-will.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Organized individual with strong administrative, interpersonal, and computer skills

  • Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds and with high energy, intense personalities

  • Ability to work a non-standard work week which will include evenings, weekends, holidays and extensive overnight travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Coaching experience at the collegiate level

  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
