Duties and Responsibilities:
Produces compelling video content for digital and social outlets from ideation to finished product including scripting, shooting, and editing.
Shoots footage of games, practices, interviews, player and community outreach features, and other projects as needed.
Creates intro videos, player features, highlight packages and more for use in-venue and on social media.
Strong understanding of trends in the industry and proven storytelling ability using video & audio.
Assists with creative video as it relates to development objectives.
Encode and export video in multiple formats for delivery across platforms including sharing with local media partners.
Work cooperatively with team members across departments within Air Force Athletics.
Assist with creation of all video and motion templates used in-venue.
Track best practices among other professional sports teams/leagues, content creators and influencers.
Work with Air Force Sports Properties to ensure sponsorship integration into video content.
Ensure consistency in brand guidelines and messaging related to content and posting.
Understand and adhere to a variety of department and Academy brand standards, as well as NCAA and conference compliance policies.
Oversees digital interns and manages creative video training as needed.
Reports to the Director of Creative Video.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience.
Specialized skills in non-linear video editing, video lighting and composition, camera operation, audio recording, and video production.
Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite along with the ability to produce and create exciting audio-visual content are required.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including frequent evenings and weekends.
Ability to work in a deadline focused environment.
Strong copywriting, editing, and time management skills.
Experience in the sports industry preferred.
