Women's Assisntant Swim Coach

Essential Responsibilities

Coaching & Training

  • Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting daily practices, workouts, and training sessions.

  • Provide technical and tactical instruction in swimming, including stroke technique, starts, turns, race strategy, and conditioning.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized training plans based on student-athlete needs and competitive goals.

  • Attend and assist with home and away competitions, practices, team meetings, and other required team activities.

  • Help create a positive, competitive, inclusive, and team-oriented environment.

Recruiting

  • Assist the Head Coach with all aspects of student-athlete recruitment.

  • Identify, evaluate, communicate with, and recruit prospective student-athletes who are academically and athletically qualified to attend TCNJ.

Student-Athlete Development

  • Serve as a positive mentor and role model for student-athletes.

  • Support student-athletes in achieving academic, athletic, personal, and career goals.

  • Promote academic success and reinforce the importance of maintaining appropriate academic standing.

  • Assist with team-building, leadership development, community service, alumni engagement, and other student-athlete development initiatives.

  • Foster an environment that promotes sportsmanship, respect, accountability, and personal responsibility.

Nights and weekends required.
