
Coaching, Training, Instruction:
Perform as a professional educator and role model.
Provide practice and meet planning, implementation and assessment.
Recruitment: Lead the recruitment of elite student-athletes who demonstrate the potential to be successful academically and competitively.
Academic Oversight: Mentor and monitor the academic success of the student-athletes.
Budget Planning, Fiscal Management and Travel Coordination: Provide sound business and financial management in areas including but not limited to expenses, operating budgets, procurement of goods, services and equipment while also organizing and supervision of all team related travel.
Compliance/Certification: Ensure compliance with national, local, university, NCAA, Landmark Conference, regulations, standards and codes. (Note: The violation of NCAA and conference rules is prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination).
Supervision: Recruit, supervise, train and evaluate assistant coaching staff.
Special Events and Alumni Engagement: Provide support for large departmental events while also consistently connecting with program and institutional alums to maintain sound relationships between all parties.
Facilities: Manage the daily operations and support all maintenance of the DuFour pool facility. Work with campus and local officials to ensure safe and certified operation of all facility components and lifeguard scheduling. Management of all home swimming and diving meets and Meet Manager Software.
Fundraising: Plan events and participate in fundraising campaigns for the team and department.
