Job Purpose

Assists the head women's basketball coach with all aspects of the women's basketball program including recruiting, practices and conditioning, player development, public relations, and supporting the academic development and graduation of student-athletes.

Essential Functions

Assists the head women's basketball coach with all aspects of the women's basketball program including recruiting, practices and conditioning, player development, public relations, and supporting the academic development and graduation of student-athletes. Performs other duties, as assigned.

Beyond meeting minimum requirements, candidates will be evaluated in terms of how their experience and education have prepared them for Division I assistant coaching including recruiting, assisting with practice and conditioning, player and public relations, and supporting the academic development and graduation of student-athletes. Coaching philosophy must complement the philosophy of the head coach.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. At least one year of playing experience at high school, collegiate, pro level, or coaching experience at club, middle school, high school, collegiate, or pro level, or at least one year of experience as collegiate manager, grad assistant manager, or grad assistant. Education and experience necessary to perform all the functions of a Division I Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. Commitment to adhere to NCAA and OVC rules and regulations as well as University policies and procedures.

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience. This is an entry-level position.
