The Associate Director Compliance performs duties to ensure institutional compliance with department, institutional, state, federal, NCAA and ACC guidelines. They assist the Director for Compliance with the overall operations of athletics compliance including compliance-related projects and other administrative duties as assigned by the Director for Compliance. This includes the interpretation of NCAA guidelines and by-laws (30+), education of athletes, coaches and campus units, and subsequent assessment of the implementation of said by-laws. Violations of by-laws and/or University policies are investigated and assessed by this role. A successful candidate will have the expertise to provide interpretation and compliance guidance to other Athletic Compliance team members, as well as constituents. They will manage a personal portfolio as the primary contact and provide compliance oversight for 3-4 sports.

Interact with assigned coaches and student-athletes and provide NCAA Bylaws and ACC rules education, rule interpretation, waivers and violation self-reports.
Monitor team practice sessions, and athlete play consistent with NCAA bylaws and ACC rules.
Provide coordination of day-to-day compliance activities; serve as liaison with multiple offices on campus; athletics, registrar, financial aid, housing, admissions; provide legislative and interpretive guidelines for institution; provide oversight of specific compliance functions based on experience.
Monitors potential and proposed changes to NCAA legislation.
Prepares NCAA rules education documents for monthly Coaching Staff /Compliance Meetings and individual team rules education sessions.
Oversees camp and clinic approval process.
Conduct violation investigations, interview impacted parties, provide written report to the Director of Compliance within 30 days of reported violation.
Track and monitor violation trends and dashboarding.
