The Associate Director for Development, Alumni Engagement will be responsible for overseeing all former student-athlete engagement and relations processes and operations ensuring a high standard of service and hospitality. This role involves strategic planning, philanthropic outreach and fostering engagement for all former student-athletes. Specifically, this role will develop relationships with current and former student-athletes, manager and coaches to continually enhance this group and take a significant role in identifying philanthropic opportunities.
Education-
Bachelor’s degree required.
Two (2) plus years of experience of successful annual fundraising management, preferably in a college or university setting. Experience in Division I Athletics strongly preferred.
Former student-athlete strongly preferred.
Skills and Knowledge-
Ability to collaborate with various internal and external constituents across University Athletics and Advancement.
Excellent communication and decision-making skills, and the ability to build robust relationships both internally and externally.
Mature and professional attitude, donor/client focus and the ability to provide direction to staff and direct multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to direct and perform confidential detailed work with accuracy under deadline pressure.
Working knowledge of and familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations, particularly those impacting representatives of the institution’s athletic interests.
Impeccable integrity and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities-
Responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive engagement strategy for former student-athlete relations, including all aspects related to stewardship, donor experience, sport specific giving and the Legends Society.
Collaborate with head coaches and development liaisons to develop engagement plans to foster connection and increased support for varsity programs.
Partner closely with various athletics department units and Advancement teams, including university engagement, leadership annual giving, marketing and communications and stewardship/events.
Work closely with major gift officers to assist in developing a pipeline of philanthropic prospects to support the `Cuse Athletics Fund.
