This position is responsible for providing the day-to-day management and administration to facilitate the day-to-day operations for a Division I athletic program for athletic facilities and game operations for all athletic department sponsored athletic teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
Hire, educate and supervise work force responsible for assisting in daily operation of athletic facilities, including Graduate Assistants, and game operation functions. Manage payment for hourly event workers by completing timesheets and complete game settlements in a timely fashion. There are close to 50 student-workers who work in Athletics, primarily on game days, and this requires extensive coordination.
Serve as a game day administrator and represent the Department at identified home contests. This includes serving as a liaison among visiting teams & officials regarding scheduling of arrivals, ensuring all support areas (University Police, physical plant, food service, etc.) are fulfilling their game-day responsibilities. This also requires working knowledge of all athletic facilities and floor plans. In this position, it operates as the front-line customer service representative for any issues or problems that arise from fans or attendees.
Assist in the set-up and conversion of athletic facilities for campus and community rentals. This includes ensuring all facilities are set-up for events and all equipment is operational.
Schedule, maintain and coordinate service of athletic department facilities, equipment and vehicles. All golf carts, off-road vehicles, etc. are managed by the facilities office. Operating a motor vehicle, including University vehicles, to support daily operations and game day set-up.
Provide leadership, oversight and direction to direct reports to assure goals, programs, activities, and personnel practices are consistent with and contribute to the University's goals and strategies. Lead employees for maximum performance and dedication. Complete performance management feedback and goals timely and per requirements.

Job Requirements:
Knowledge of conversion techniques for large multipurpose facility.
Knowledge of university athletics, recreation, and academics.
Knowledge of computers and various software programs.
Knowledge of university policies and procedures, safety and fire regulations
Knowledge of the maintenance and preparation of athletic facilities.
Ability to work in a very dynamic environment with a diverse student-athlete population.
Requires the ability to work independently and in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Sports Management or related field from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
1+ years of experience in game management and/or athletic facility operations
Valid US Driver's License
Supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of relevant experience
Master's degree in Sports Management or related field from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
Experience in Division I athletics
Working Environment:
Physical demands include moderate lifting, operating vehicles and the ability to work outside and in inclement weather.
Requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Typical office environment includes answering calls, responding to emails and providing in-person customer service.
