

Primary Responsibilities
Serving as Head Coach for the Women’s Basketball Program. Providing vision and leadership in the development of a competitive D3 basketball program. Daily operation of the basketball program which requires the ability to demonstrate basketball related skills and develop a highly structured practice program. The Head Women’s Basketball Coach works with and motivates student-athletes on and off the court to help them reach goals and maximize their potential. Utilizes knowledge, rules and skills of women’s basketball, including NCAA rules and Division III philosophy when performing job responsibilities.
Develops a successful comprehensive recruiting philosophy and initiatives related to the recruitment and retention of qualified student athletes by meeting goals for student visits, securing applications, deposits and program enrollment that maintains a healthy roster.
Coordinates team travel.
Supports the success of the student athletes in the women’s basketball program by performing community outreach and alumni engagement initiatives. Participates in fundraising initiatives for the Athletic Department and the women’s basketball program.
Serving as a member of the Student Services Division the Women’s Basketball Coach will have expectations of a broader campus involvement which may involve committees, events, and requirements outside of the Athletic Department. Candidate should have a global view of their involvement in the Suffolk community.
